Sister Mitzi Gates // Week Twenty-Six

This was such a great week as my last week in Thompson Station! I'm so
excited to go to Lebanon though!! Well a bunch of great things
happened this week. On Monday we had a great lesson with Amber, she
goes to a big church out here, and she also works there. We were
teaching her and her husband, and they were trying to teach us! Haha
it happens a lot out here. People think they're trying to save us,
while we're trying to save them! Then on Tuesday we went out with
Sister Hacker. Then that night we went out and visited Aunt Sharon,
the boys, and Carlos and Anna. We had such an amazing experience! The
spirit was so strong, we had a great lesson. They're recent converts
as well. Gonna miss them all so much! Wednesday was good, we did a lot
of finding. Then on Thursday we helped sister hacker clean her house
because she chipped her elbow. Then bishop picked us up and took us
out to lunch. We were a little nervous because we thought that was
weird, but he's just a great guy! Then sister Bickmore picked us up
and we went and visited sister clap in the rest home. She is doing a
lot better. Then in the living room area there was a couple veterans
singing karaoke, so we stopped to watch for a minute. And all of a
sudden this guy comes out of no where in a wheel chair with his cup of
coffee. He was standing behind me and I was a little weirded out. So I
moved around, then he moved around. So I kept moving and he would
follow me! Then I was talking with some lady and all of a sudden he
comes up and gives me a couple pats on my butt! I was like what the
heck?! Haha so I moved around and the whole time I could hear him say
"oh my Lord!" Haha then all of a sudden me and sister Bickmore were
taking a picture and he comes up and gives me a couple more pats on
the butt. So we hurry and run out and he like chased us down! It was
like a scary movie. I couldn't get out fast enough! We were laughing
so hard, but I was so shaken up! Sister Bickmore was laughing so hard.
We went and got some famous pie in Columbia after because we needed to
just chill. I'm so going to miss sister Bickmore!! She's amazing. Then
the next couple days we stayed busy and visited a lot of people. Then
on Saturday we went to help clean the church! After we went to the
stake center in Franklin and did this provident living thing. It was
cool! Learned a couple survival skills! Got a couple potentials. Then
Sunday, Easter! It was great. I love holidays on my mission! Church
was awesome, it was so hard to say goodbye to everyone. Seriously
these are my people!! I can't wait to come back and visit them all.
Then we went and visited Aunt Sharon, Carlos and Tredone. I cried
saying goodbye to them...:( but after we went to the prices, it was
Rubys birthday, so that was fun! Then we went to the church to
practice for The Garden. I've been practicing this whole time and now
I'm not even going to be able to sing in it, because I'm being
transferred! It's so fun being able to share such a great Easter
message with everyone. So hard to say goodbye to everyone!! I'm so
excited to start new though! I love Thompson Station!!

Seriously I LOVE these families!! Haha so hard to say goodbye! This is the Knott family:)‏

We all cried when we said goodbye. This is Aunt Sharon, Carlos, and Tredone! They are all recent converts!! Dennis, Anna and E'shod went into Nashville. Sad I missed them! But LOVE THIS DAMILY SOOO MUCH!!‏

This is Bishop Tew!! He is the best. Hahah he gave me a hug and everything! He's the bishop and he said he told President Andersen that he hugs all the missionaries goodbye!‏

This is D Mendoza! We came over to share an Easter Message and they made us dessert! Fair enough!‏

Sometimes I just get on bikes and try and ride them! Haha‏

After we visited Sister Clap, Sister Bickmore took us to get pie at a famous bakery in Columbia!! Plus we needed laugh therapy after the way in the wheel chair! Haha‏

Not in every rest home they have veterans come in and sing country music! Loved it! Haha this is also where I got a little love from a guy in a wheel chair!

We went every week to visit Sister Clap with Sister Bickmore. She is always so positive and I could talk to her for hours!!‏

The cute young men and young women decorated our door!! These are the best nights to come home to:)‏
