Sister Mitzi Gates // Week Twenty-Five

Another week gone by already! So this week was busy. On Tuesday we
found 2 more investigators. Kacey Prince and Amber Hollie! We're so
excited about them! They seem very prepared. We're meeting with them
this week again so I'm excited to see how it goes!
This week we had Zone Meeting in Columbia. It was great! President and
sister Andersen came too. I always love those meetings because it
always gets me pumped for missionary work! Then that night we had a
lesson with Joe again, a member, brother Rhoads came too! It was
great. We taught the plan of salvation and answered a lot of
questions! He likes to argue though... So it's kind of hard to teach
him when he's always like "what if this, what if that" but we're
really working on him. He's progressing though!
On Friday we had our Trainer// trainee meeting. It was so much fun!! I
LOVE being able to see all of my missionary friends! It was so good to
see my trainer, Sister Cotton again too! It was great. We had some
awesome training so by the assistants and president. The meeting was
from 9 to 4. So after we rip used to our dinner appointment. It was
great! I love the Millers. Both parents served missions and they have
a son out right now. They invited us over to help them with Preach My
Gospel. So now every week we go over and teach them all a lesson like
they're investigators. It's great! I love Elder Ballards talk. I
listened to it like 3 times this week! I hope you really do study
preach my gospel. And I want to hear about what you learned in the
emails you send me!! Then after we went and watched Ethan Bickmore do
his violin recital. It was great!
Then on Saturday we went and did some service. We help this program,
it's a food bank and they just get donations and give it to people who
need it. And on Saturday they had this big truck load of donations and
like 250 people came and we helped pass out food! We actually got 2
investigators from it!! So that was exciting. We met this one guy
Thumper. We thought he was Jace from Duck Dynasty! He looked just like
him!! Haha we had to ask. It was great! Then after we had the adult
session for stake conference. So Sunday we had stake conference as
well. Our stake center is right by the temple! I LOVE GOING THERE.
It's seriously my favorite. The Tiffany's got sealed as a family also.
They were all so happy! We went over the night before and they were
all so excited! My heart was so full.
I love the leaders of the church. I love the Book of Mormon. I love my
family. And I love my mission!! Thanks for all the love and support!
Ps. When we were at wal mart today there was a guy and he had this
huge jar and was seeing how many cucumbers he could fit in it. I asked
him what he was doing and he was making pickles! He had no teeth and
had some sweet overalls on. ONLY IN THE SOUTH!! I LOVE IT!
Love, Sister Gates:)
