This is my first week in Lebanon... Or how they say it here, Lebaben.I love it! I love my companion too. Sister Tenney. She is from Tucson,Arizona and is a year older than me. She has been out for 9 months. She likes comics and super heroes. She is also an amazing missionary. She teaches so well with the spirit. I don't think I've had this muchfun on my mission yet! Our area is so big we actually share with 2other elder companionships. They let us have the car full time, sothey bike. So we take care of the area on the outside of town, orsingle ladies. The area is just like my first area. A little moreolder homes, we have trailer parks and it's pretty ghetto. WE AREACTUALLY TEACHING PEOPLE TOO!!Shelby & Matt are another one we're teaching. They aren't married, buthave a couple kids. (So we might be planning a wedding if they decideto get baptized.) haha but we taught them the plan of salvation aswell. She just kept saying "well it could be possible" so we're hopingto keep them progressing.Tina & Miles, Tina is the mom and miles is the daughter. The dad is amember, just less active. But they have been coming back to church andinvestigating. We went over this week & I guess some crazy things havehappened to their house, so this week we'll have someone bless it. Butthis is the house I held the turtle at! We hope to see them keepcoming, they are open, they just have a hard time comprehending itall. So Josh, he is 21 and the sisters tracted into him. We went over thisweek and taught him the Plan of Salvation. He accepted it really well.He still has a hard time knowing there is just one religion thy isright. But we're on the right track! We have a couple others, but they are entirnigators! (Investigatorswho investigate for eternity! Haha so we are working on them. It's sofun to be able to teach again. We have some great sisters in the wardwho go out with us a couple times a week sit in on lessons. Also we did service at the fair, and we helped this lady Andy weedsome trees. She said we were an answer to her prayers, so that wasawesome! Then we went to the Rodeo, because you know, great findingopportunity!! Haha it was so great. These are my people! Haha no onereally wanted to talk to a couple of girls in skirts at a rodeo.....So we tried but we just ended watching for a little bit. It wasSister Tenney's first rodeo too. It was great! HahaI am so excited to start new here and find those people who areprepared. This area is really hard though... They call it the "Lebanoncurse area" so we're going to break that. We will do a lot of findingas well. Lately while reading the Book of Mormon it has become a wholeother book to me. I can hardly put it down! There is no doubt in mymind that that book isn't true. There's no way it couldn't be! Thisweek I have been the happiest on my mission yet. I love being amissionary! It brings so many great blessings and opportunities. Ilove the south & I love this church. Read the Book of Mormon, becauseit has a special power. It will bless your life! I LOVE YOU ALL SOMUCH! Hope Y'all have a good week;) hahaSister Gates:)We took a mission picture on transfer day!! So do you see sister Andersen on the front row in a cream dress suit? Well if you go over two people to the left, I am the head floating to the right of the guy!
Hahah Macey! Remember when we had scripture cases like this?! It zipped into a back pack? Oh man! Good times.
I. Love. This. Place.
So we went to the Rodeo. No one wanted to talk to girls in skirts... So we just watched it!! Seriously favorite memory.
We went to the fair to help out and we met this lady Andy who was weeding the trees. She made us flower people! Also the two boys are Boy Scouts we met who helped too! I really love gardening and helping people, plus it was a nice day!! Win, win, WIN!!
I have the best companion who gets spiders when I'm too scared to!!
I held a turtle... Pretty cool!!
I LOVE SISTER COTTON. I cried when I saw her at transfers. She's the best fake mom!
Heading to transfers!! I have so much stuff.... Oh well!
Love the Ingrams!! They are my soul sisters! Again, so hard to say goodbye...
