Sister Mitzi Gates // Week Forty-One

Lebanon:
On Friday we went and visited Ernie! We called Benjji again, and she
is doing better, still hurting. But after Debbie Evans in our ward
works there. She said for us to visit Jean Rowland, so we did. She was
sitting with all of her girlfriends from the rest home and so we
talked to all of them. My hair was curled and they acted like they had
never seen red curly hair before. They all took turns feeling my hair
and playing with it.... I wish I could of got a picture! Haha pretty
funny.
Josh Hodge the guy we have a baptismal date with canceled our
appointment for this week. So he's not progressing to much. So that's
probably off. I had such great hope for him! I guess it's not his
time, we're just planting seeds.
We saw Jeanette and Ron this week and had a great lesson. Jeanette
loves to sing and Sister Svedin does too. So we sang Joseph Smiths
First Prayer, and they loved it. I'll let them do the singing, my job
is to press play and stop on the iPad! But we had a great lesson about
priesthood and baptism. They are having a hard time accepting that
their first baptism doesn't really count, because it wasn't by the
priesthood authority. Then she brings us the Journal of Discourses!
I've heard about them but I don't really know what it is. Will you
research and get back to me on what it is? I think it's kind of some
anti material, because it's not in our gospel library. Anyways it's
just getting Jeanette and Ron thinking.
Also we were driving and we saw a car on the side of the road with the
hood popped. So we asked if they needed help, they needed a jump! Haha
of course. So we tried and tried to get it started. But it wouldn't
jump their car! I don't know if it's from our car getting in an
accident, or the cables just won't work anymore, I don't know. But we
gave them a pass a long card, he said he was looking for a church! So
that was a tender mercy.
We do a lot of less active work, so we saw a lot this week.
We tract and we are trying to find people... But everyone is happy
where they are. Every single door approach:
"We are Christians, we go to church, we love Jesus Christ, he's our
Lord and savior and I've been saved. Thanks for what you do though!"
.........come on!! We have the Restored church back on the earth again today!
There was one this week while we were tracting and it was a mom, and
her little girl, and her boyfriend. They were just sitting outside, so
we talked to them, asked them how their day was going. An accident
just happened right by their house, but it was good. We shared the
Restoration with them and the mom starts to cry! I'm like wow she's
really feeling the spirit, this is great!! We share a little more and
she starts crying more... I'm like are you okay? She's like yeah I'm
just 3 months pregnant and we were talking about that crash and it
just threw me off! I was like dang........ I totally thought she was
feeling the spirit! Haha ohh man. Well they did say we could come back
so that was good!
Yesterday there was a baby blessing. The baby was 2 years old! I have
never seen anything like it. It was so... Interesting. The mom bore
her testimony and said they just kept putting it off. They have been
active their whole lives. They just kept thinking the baby was to old,
then they finally did it.
Oh we are also doing a booth at the Wilson County Fair, and it's
bigger than the state fair. Half a million people come to it! I'm so
excited. They said on Sundays if people being their church programs
they get their tickets for half off!! Hahah isn't that so funny? I
LOVE THE SOUTH. The fair is the same week of transfers, so hopefully I
get to stay.
Sorry I don't have much this week! Sister Svedin is doing great! I
swear she came pre trained. We get a long great. She is a hard worker
as well! I'm so grateful for that. We get a lot done, just we aren't
really teaching anymore seriously, which makes it hard!
I love you all! Remember to pray for missionary opportunities:)

Annii got a new dog!! CUTEST PUP EVER. I seriously wanted to take him homeHeavy black heart

FHE with the Towrys! Love them. We made playdoh BOM stories!‏

Helped Ruth Dean pressure wash her drive way this week. She's a LA, so that was good!

Book of Mormon sandwich? Yeah I don't know. Hahah‏

People's mail boxes these days!!‏

Sometimes while tracting they don't answer and we rock and read the book of koemonWinking face
