Sister Mitzi Gates // Week Thirty-Three

Another great week in Zion;)
Well to begin with on Monday for p day we played like a very intense
game of sand volleyball. We were playing for like 2.5 hours! It was
with my district. It was so hot, but so fun! Okay not to be rude, but
I think I'm more coordinated then a few of the elders.... Kind of sad.
But it was our last p day as a district. They kept saying, "Sister
Gates I didn't think you were so competitive, or hate losing." Haha it
was fun to have fun. Then we taught a great lesson with the less
active family we are doing FHE with! The grandma who isn't a member
always participates and wants to learn more. So we're really working
on them! They moved in a year ago and have been less active for 5, so
Bishop Hall is coming with us tonight to do FHE, so he can meet the
bishop! Wahoo!
We have had some miracles tracting this week. I full heartedly believe
that if we tract an hour a day The Lord provides people for us. That
happened everyday this week!! I can't begin to tell you how blessed we
are. We tracted into this family, taught them the whole restoration,
gave them Books of Mormon. Of course they had their own religion, but
they said it was possible, and they would read! It was amazing! Then
we tracted into some people and explained the Book of Mormon. Everyday
at least once, maybe twice Heavenly Father provides us with someone
who is willing to listen. It's amazing to see the "Vision of the
South" coming to pass. I remember in a leadership broadcast, L. Tom
Parry said that D&C 88:73 was this time now. That the work of
missionaries is as important as the restoration, the coming forth of
the Book of Mormon! Gives me chills every time!
Josh is doing so great! So last week we had him pray that he would get
new hours for work, or a new job, or something so he gets Sundays off!
Guess what?! He prayed and 2 new jobs at his work were opened, so he
applied to both! Now were just waiting to see if he gets hired on for
them. Every single prayer we said that week included him. We met at
the church again, the elders came, he loved that. He said if he joins
it's a whole lifestyle change and it will be hard. So he is praying
for courage this week! Also he told us like 5 months ago he just
decided to quit smoking and drinking. That was just right before the
sisters found him! He's been prepared. He also mentioned he wants to
meet more of the ward and hear their stories, so now we're finding
members who are converts. It's amazing to be apart of this journey. I
am so blessed just to be able to guide him in the right direction,
just to be that instrument in helping The Lord. Josh said he is
starting the Book of Mormon from the beginning now. So hopefully
everything works out. I know Heavenly Father will provide a way!!
Yesterday we had some less actives bring some non members to church! 2
in 1 sweet. And they stayed for all 3 hours. They are so prepared,
they said it all makes sense to them. BUT! They don't live in our ward
boundaries, they live in Mount Juliet. Ugh! So we had to turn them
over to the Mount Juliet missionaries yesterday.... It's okay though,
because it's all the Lords work!
There have been some crazy storm coming through! It totally destroys trees.
Also shout out to Sean Stanley for answering my question last week. Super good!
Love you all!! Have a fabulous week:)
