Well this week was a little slow! But it was still a good week:)
On New Years Eve we went in early at 6, for safety seasons. We watched The Best Two Years. We were seriously dying laughing so hard!! Then we got to sleep in, I woke up before 6:30 again. But we got up and we went to the Green Hills mall because Sister Oldroyd needed a new watch from Charming Charlies. So we went and she got one, then I needed a new calendar, and right outside the store was a calendar vender outside. So we start looking and this lady is like "Hello Sister Missionaries!" I was like what? haha well come to find out she is a less active member. When we went up to pay for our calendars, she let us have it for free! Such a miracle. Haha so that was a good start to our new year. Then we went to the Green Hills church building with all the Sister in the zone. We watched Frozen, and The Best Two Years again. It was so fun! We played games. Then all of a sudden President Andersen shows up with all these girls and starts playing games! We played the name game, and 4 on a couch. It was so fun!! We have the greatest mission president. Then we went home at 8. It was the weirdest day. I have never felt so unproductive in my life. Like I don't even know. I'm glad we are back to just missionary work!
We ride the bus a lot to down town and back. Then the people on the bus ask questions, they can't go any where, and then they over hear no matter what. So it's great! It's guaranteed a couple lessons every time we ride the bus. We meet all the homeless people and teach them and invite them to church. I have never learned so much about jail, prison and weed. EVERY ONE on the bus has been to jail or done something. I guess that's what we get for asking everyone their stories. They all say they are going to come... but they didn't! They will though.
Sister Oldroyd and I have both been super sick this week, we think it's from the bus. You know those cough attacks where you can't stop and you try so hard but your face just turns red? Well thank goodness for companions who try and engage the person while you cough your lungs up.
We also rode the bus down town on Tuesday when LSU was playing the Titan for the Music City Bowl, it was crazy down town! Fun to see though. We snapped a couple pictures on the bus!!
We go to 9am church now.
On Sunday night we had a couple miracles where we were tracting this apartment complex and we got like 4 return appointment for Wednesday. I love to tract. It's really hard to tract with out the He is the Gift...... it's like we have to teach ourselves how to tract normal again.
Yesterday we had a meeting with a member to go over what we were going to talk about with one of our investigators and she started to prophesy to us... and she like held my hands and the church doors flung open..... so that was weird. Our mission president is taking care of it. I'll tell you more about that in May!
I'm sorry this email has like nothing to it. We are still doing ALOT of finding and ALOT of tracting. Like that is what our day consists of. We are having a hard time retaining investigators after we teach them the first lesson! They all say sure when we say it's a message about Jesus Christ, then when we bring In Jospeh Smith and the Book of Mormon they all freak out. Southern problems. It's fine, we know that Heavenly Father is preparing someone great for us to find and bring into the church!!
"Don’t yield to Satan’s lie that you don’t have time to study the scriptures. Choose to take time to study them. Feasting on the word of God each day is more important than sleep, school, work, television shows, video games, or social media. You may need to reorganize your priorities to provide time for the study of the word of God. If so, do it!
I do not declare that your life will cease to have challenges. Remember when Adam and Eve were in the garden, they were free from challenges, yet they were unable to experience happiness, joy, and peace. Challenges are an important part of mortality. Through daily, consistent scripture study, you will find peace in the turmoil around you and strength to resist temptations. You will develop strong faith in the grace of God and know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ all will be made right according to God’s timing."

Loved that!! I love my scripture study I get for an hour each morning. It's so precious. I wish I would of known how important it was before my mission. Make time for it.
This was a good week, a little slow. But we are back to normal and it's going to be great! Stay tuned for more miracles next week:) Love you all!!
