This was another great week!
Sorry for this random email there's a lot of missionaries have a church right now so it's hard to stay focused.
On Tuesday we went to Eldorado for district meeting. We drove on the back roads because that is the only way to get there. I love being able to see all the different places in the mission including Illinois.
On Wednesday the zone leaders picked us up and we drove down to Nashville for MLC. On the way there we got a call that
it was canceled. So we stayed with the Nashville sisters for a couple days until the roads are cleared. The National Guard had to come up I 24 to rescue 300 cars from the crazy snowstorm. While we were there with the sisters we had a 2 1/2 hour study of the atonement. Also deep doctrine. It was so fun to be in my last area. Sister Curtis and I went tracting in some old apartments are used to track was sister Oldroyd. The ice was so bad that when I was getting out of the car my legs fell out from under me and somehow I landed face down in the push-up position. We were laughing so hard!!
We got to call the church was canceled and sister Curtis started to cry. We were so sad because are less active and investigators were planning on going. But then the elders shoveled the sidewalks and church was back on the next day. We were so excited!! Then we ended up teaching the eight and nine-year-olds primary class. That was crazy!!
So Lisa our recent convert has a son who is a nonmember. We go over and teach her lesson still and he always listens in. So this last time we went over we asked him if we could start talking to him and answering his questions. He agreed!! We are so excited to be teaching him now. We also set a second baptismal date with Lisa for going to the temple. The date for going to the temple is March 19. She texted us Sunday night and was so excited to say she got her temple recommend from Bishop today. Wahoo!!
So our area book is a little crazy. There are hundreds of potential investigators. So we are going through and really weeding out all the names. We have found some crazies, because were in Kentucky. But it's fine we love it.
Our investigators aren't keeping their commitments. So we are going to put them on the back burner for now. It's really hard to put them on the back burner because you know their potential and you know they felt the spirit. So pray for them. Also on March 22 we know that heavenly father has prepared someone to be baptized then.we have prayed about it and we are trying to find that person who is prepared for that day. So we would appreciate it if you added that to your daily prayers as well.
I'm so grateful for my mission. I never want to go home! I love serving the people of Kentucky. This place has a special place in my heart.
"Happiness makes you sweet, trails keep you strong, sorrow keeps you human, failures keep you humble, and God keeps you going."
Love this quote. Have a great week!!
Love you all!!
