This week was so great!!
I went on two exchanges out of my area, so I was only there for a few days in my area. I felt like a chicken with my head cut off this week!!
First I went to Smith Springs with Sister Trask! She is so cute. She actually went to school with Tosch Truman too! So that was fun. We rode the bus and walked. It was quit the adventure!! We were able to meet so many more people! Sister Trask spoke a little Spanish and it was hilarious trying to speak to others. We used an app on our iPads and tried to translate!
Then I went to West Nashville with Hermana Levao. I actually had some what of an idea as to what was going on! She's a Spanish missionary... I feel like the Hispanic people are so much more open to hear more... It was amazing. I love going on exchanges!! I always learn so much!!
Our sisters were kind of struggling on Friday! So we went to lunch in Green Hills, did weekly planning at the California pizza kitchen! Then took Sweet Cece's frozen yogurt and visited them. Then we found out that Ellie the cute little old lady that had us over for thanksgiving had a heart attack! So we went and visited her. it makes me so sad to see her like that!
Saturday we had the Ward Christmas party! We had Diana (the less active we found while a member took us out to dinner). She also brought her boyfriends little sister, who isn't a member! It was awesome!! She loved it. It was so fun to be around everyone and feel the Christmas spirit!
Also! The elders called us, as well as the zone leaders asking what Jumpers were. It's in the white hand book we read each day! So we explained it to them. We then decided we wanted to get some jumpers! Hahah so we got some for district Meetinf. With some cute Christmas sweaters too! Hahah well we get there and our district leader, the first thing he said "President and Sister Andersen are coming to this meeting!" Hahah we almost died. We were like well! They laughed so hard when they saw us. We have the greatest mission president and wife in the world. I love them!! They even got a picture with us! Haha everyone got a kick out of it.
I have a hard time fasting during the day straight. So we usually fast dinner, then fast breakfast and have lunch before church. Well I have been studying about sacrament and fasting. It was one of the most spiritual sacrament meetings! I was holding back tears. I am so grateful for the sacrament and how we are able to have a renewal each week of our baptismal covenants. WE ARE SO BLESSED. What an opportunity we have to fast as well.
Then it was Kristin, the chiropractor investigator, had us over on Sunday. It was her birthday, so we made a cake! She isn't really progressing... But still wants to learn more. It's a hard situation. She just doesn't want to go to church for 3 hours, or wear our "special underwear" but we are working on that.
We have been praying as to where we need to tract. The exact street. We need all the help we can get! But yesterday we tracted on a certain st. And we saw a miracle and tender mercy! We have been showing the "He is the Gift" two minute mormon message when we tract. A lot of people say "I'm Christian, I believe in Christ! Thank you" this time we were just like "then you would LOVE this! Haha we have been getting into more homes. We have so many people cry when we show the video. The spirit is so strong.
Also, my companion, sister Oldroyd is the greatest! I am so glad I get to be her companion! We just laugh about every thing! It's a good thing! Or else we would cry. Haha so grateful for her.
We also got bus passes, so we are going to ride the busses more! We're trying to find more creative ways to find!
I love my mission. It has been trying these last couple weeks. But I am so grateful, for every trial and tribulation I have experienced. Because from that I have been able to see Gods hand in the work more clearly. It's funny to be so isolated from the world. But once you do get a glimpse of the real world, man it's terrible! I wish I could stay in my little spiritual bubble all the time. I am so grateful for my mission. This holiday season is so special. Thank you for all the love and support you have given me! Love you guys!!
